About The Bridge
The Bridge is the first theatre run by London Theatre Company which was founded by Nicholas Hytner and Nick Starr in 2017. The Bridge focuses on the commissioning and production of new shows, as well as staging the occasional classic.
Whether you’re a returning regular or making your first visit, we hope you’ll find yourself inspired and entertained. Welcome to The Bridge.
The venue
The 900-seat auditorium is designed to be flexible and can be adapted for a variety of performance styles, resulting in hugely successful immersive theatre as well as more traditional end on and thrust stage shows. It is the first wholly new theatre of scale to be added to London’s commercial theatre sector in 80 years.
The theatre can be hired out for private events; The Stage Awards were hosted with us at the beginning of 2019. For more information on this please see our hires page.
Productions
The Bridge focuses on the commissioning and production of new shows, as well as staging and re-imagining the occasional classic. Our casts have been led by the likes of Maggie Smith, Ben Whishaw, Laura Linney, Ralph Fiennes and Gwendoline Christie, drawing audiences from overseas as well as local areas.
