Physical Accessibility for A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Here you will find information on getting to your seat.
For the Standing Area
This is an entirely standing area with no seats or sitting. It is accessed by descending 7-10 steps with a handrail from the stalls. Standing is required the entire performance in the Standing Area.
For Seats in the Stalls
The Stalls can be reached via a platform lift at the back of the foyer (the lift can carry up to 300KG). Once you are in the auditorium there are steps to most seats.
For seats in single-lettered rows, there are between 1-7 steps (without a handrail).
For seats in double-lettered rows, you will need to descend 7 steps (without a handrail), cross the auditorium to the opposite side, then ascend 16 steps (with a handrail) to reach your seats.
If you have limited mobility/require easy access to an exit or toilet, we recommend seats numbered 20-55 in rows A-C, or our step-free access platform in Gallery 1.
For Seats in Gallery 1
Seats in single-lettered rows in Gallery 1 are at street level, with a maximum of seven shallow steps to reach them (with a handrail).
Seats in double-lettered rows in Gallery 1 are across the auditorium on the opposite side of the lower foyer. They are accessed via the Stalls entrance. To cross the Stalls you will need to descend 7 steps (without a handrail) and then ascend 32 steps (with a handrail).
Wheelchair accessible seating is available in Gallery 1. These are found in Row C and are located at street level. These are the only step-free seats in Gallery 1.
For Seats in Gallery 2
Gallery 2 is accessed via the back of the main Foyer. There are 12 steps (with a handrail).
